As the summer fast approaches (not fast enough for some) the talk of weddings hots up and this year there seems to be an abundance of celebrity wedding gossip, but topping that could be a royal wedding too.
We can only imagine the glitz and glamour of Kate Middleton’s hen party should Prince William indeed pop the question, as has been speculated recently. In fact, Sky News has reported that bookmakers William Hill have turned down a punter that tried to place a £2000 bet on there being a royal engagement this year. The bookies were suspicious by the man, who is described as ‘posh’ and was very well dressed, so he may possible have royal connections apparently. So, those of us girls who dream of William being their Prince Charming may have to look elsewhere.
So, while we may or may not have a royal wedding to look forward to, there are some significant celebrity weddings in the pipeline with singer Katy Perry marrying comedian Russell Brand, who has reportedly enlisted the help of Jay-Z and Kanye West to organise his stag do. Perry’s hen party is being planned by Rihanna so it is guaranteed to be a celeb-fest.
Back over in Britain and we have Wales Rugby star Gavin Henson marrying one-time ‘Voice of an Angel’ Charlotte Church. There is talk that the couple are due to quickly get married in the Bahamas, but with both stars known for their love of a good night out we can expect news of wild hen and stag parties before they tie the knot.
Finally, pop mogul Simon Cowell is also set to marry his partner Mezhgan Hussainy in a bash that may well be flashest of them all given the X-Factor judge’s seeming endless wealth. The big day is reported to be planned for September, so that is something to look forward to.
