I specialise in creative, stylish and relaxed wedding photography. For me it's important to allow people to be themselves and enjoy the day, with natural smiles and laughter as it always makes for better photos. Then I can take care of the lighting and angles. My style is defined by three words: 'Love' I'm trying to capture the essence of two people who love each other enough to say that they want to spend the rest of the lives together, surrounded by all the people most important to them. 'Fun' – whether you're a traditional, quirky, alternative, vintage or a rock n roll bride & groom, you should relax be yourselves, have fun, and just enjoy it – and then allow the pictures to reflect that. Don't worry I'll be mostly blending into the day capturing it all as it all unfolds and only step in where we've agreed or if it's really needed. 'Style' – I'll always strive to make you both 'look good' especially in the parts of the day where I get to spend a few moments with you and hopefully produce some pictures you'll be proud of and happy to show your friends.

Neale James

I was in my late 30s when I first lifted a lens to capture a wedding and I think this has been a huge advantage. My background was in radio broadcasting, nearly four years of that spent with Radio 1; good training I think for staying calm in times of high energy and focus, which perfectly describes weddings. My approach has a strong documentary flavour and I prefer a photojournalist style, though I'm not a shrinking violet if I'm asked to capture family portraits. I think there is legacy to that part of a day too; it's just that I think you don't need to spend hours doing it. I'm a documentary photographer at heart, which means I tell the story of someone's day without wishing to change it, or orchestrate it. As a photographer I developed a style of wedding capture called Photofilms, essentially a fusion of sound from the day, and stills. I find myself often fulfilling the role that would have been claimed by the videographer, as sound is the driving force behind clients' desires to have their loved ones speeches captured. You can see examples of the Wedding Photofilms on my website and they've certainly become a USP in the way I photograph and present weddings.

I'm a wedding photographer by trade with a passion for people watching. I want my wedding photographs to be snapshots of real, uncontrived but tender moments in time. Weddings are where I ply my trade, but really it's just "people being people" – they happen to be at weddings. I shoot with the small cameras and always with natural light only. This allows me to shoot the wedding from the inside out, rather than be the photographer looking in from the outskirts with a telephoto lens. I want my clients to be taken right back to that moment in time when the image was exposed and see it from their guest's eye view. It's imperative to me that my clients don't remember their wedding day as a fashion shoot with the photographer. I'd rather they forget entirely about me, but in 50 years' time when they are showing their grandchildren the pictures of their wedding they can point to real moments, real people, real photographs. I don't pose or direct anything at all at a wedding. My role is an observer and the curator of the memories. I'm not there to make those memories, I'm there to capture them.

Marianne Taylor

My name is Marianne Taylor and I love photographing people in love. I've created pictures for as long as I can remember, and I don't think I'll ever get bored of the joy that it brings me. My philosophy in life is that there is beauty to be found in everything and everyone, and that capturing and remembering those all-important moments – whether big or small – is what adds some magic into life. I believe that my genuine interest in people and my dedication to beauty shows through in my pictures. In 2012 I was chosen as the national winner for Best Wedding Photographer at The Wedding Industry Awards and I'm currently shortlisted for Best Photographer at The UK Wedding Awards 2018. My wedding work has been published in several magazines such as Cosmopolitan Bride, Wedding, Perfect Wedding, Martha Stewart Wedding, Wedding Flowers and You & Your Wedding. My personal photography has been published on book covers, featured in several magazines – both online and in print – and has also been a part of an exhibition at Tate Britain. I love helping other creatives grow and have extended this love into the Her Lovely Heart brand, where I enjoy sharing my knowledge in the form of inspirational & actionable blog content and free resources aimed at photographers and other creative business owners. I also offer mentoring services, workshops and other training resources for those who want to dig deeper still. I am passionate about life & beauty, and finding a quieter way to be successful.

Alan Hutchison and Morag Hutchison

Alan Hutchison Photography is Husband and Wife team Alan and Morag who, as well as photographing weddings throughout the UK, manage their fast growing portrait studio in Stirling, Central Scotland. Both Alan and Morag are fully qualified photographers and have been photographing weddings together since 2009. The couple very quickly made an impact on the Wedding Photography scene - Alan won the SWPP Members' Choice Wedding Photographer of the Year 2010 and the MPA Scottish Region's Most Promising Photographer of the Year 2011. Since then, the couple have won countless awards for their work and are regular speakers at photography conventions and seminars. Alan likes to describe his style as "Weddings with WOW", purely because that was the reaction of his couples when they came back in to view their wedding photographs. "We're a little different in that our style is a mix of documentary, traditional and contemporary all rolled into one - our real focus however are our couple shots, where we really aim for quality, and for something that the happy couple will be delighted to hang proudly on their wall".

Sam Gibson

Hello, I'm Sam! I'm a creative documentary wedding photographer. I live in Bristol and photograph weddings all around the UK and abroad. I've been a wedding photographer for 5 years full time, and before that I was a documentary film maker at the BBC. I bring a lot of experience of proper documentary making to how I work at weddings - not interrupting or posing people but instead letting them relax and be themselves and by putting them at ease so quickly I get really lovely, natural images that people love. I absolutely love photographing weddings - the nerves, excitement, laughter and emotions on the day are so special to witness and record for people. I work really hard to give my couples an amazing experience from start to finish and I want them to relax and enjoy themselves and have the best day of their lives.

On Christmas day 2009 my father gifted me a single, perfectly wrapped present. It had a single note on the top, which read 'Follow Your Dreams'. The present was a Nikon D700. A year later I had turned professional, and after three years I'd won The Best Wedding Photographer in Englend (twice!) and become the top UK Fearless Photographer (and still am). My dream was twofold; firstly, to offer couples a genuine, heartfelt story of their wedding day and secondly, do so as creatively and beautifully as possible. The awards are a representation of my constant drive to achieve, refine and develop these dreams. I still do so today; every wedding I shoot I'm grateful for, and I treat couples and guests as old friends, and do my absolute best to showcase their weddings through an artistic and honest vision.

Allister Freeman

I've been a professional photographer for well over a decade, shooting hundreds of weddings of all faiths and cultures across the UK and overseas. My reportage style has developed into a highly distinct form of honest and authentic coverage. I began my photographic career as a photographer's assistant in the fashion and advertising industries, where I truly learnt the business of photography. My influences come in many forms but in terms of photographers who inspire me… the work of Sam Abell for his compositional genius, Martin Parr for satirical observation and Ed Kashi for storytelling are always points of reference for me.

Ryan Browne

I’m Ryan, I love photography, family and football. You’re looking at this site because you are looking for someone to photograph your wedding. So let me tell you about me and the way I work. Like weddings, wedding photography has moved a long way from the tired and traditional. A good wedding photographer will shoot your wedding in a photo journalistic documentary style. Telling the story of your day through beautiful timeless pictures. Your wedding day shouldn’t be directed by your photographer. In fact for the most part your photographer should go unnoticed as they document your day in the most unobtrusive way possible. Capturing all the amazing moments as you experience them, and some of the quirkier ones you might miss. No contrived shots and absolutely no requests to say 'cheese’. I have shot over 500 weddings and I can tell you that no two weddings are the same as no two stories are the same. So you can’t go into shooting a wedding with a set routine, a copycat approach! My approach is to just shoot the day as it unfolds with images that tell that story of your day. Images that will have the power to emotionally transport you back to a specific moment on your wedding day. Yes there may be group shots that you want and that’s fine. They can be taken quickly, naturally and without fuss, creating interesting group pictures that you will want to look at again and again. As a good photographer will ensure that in each and every shot you and your guests look fabulous! I worked for many years as a professional photographer for the FA, covering international fixtures all over the world, and when I’m not working now I can be found on the touchlines shooting for the national press. Experience in sports photography has been invaluable to me when shooting weddings. I know that there is only one fleeting chance to get that shot, and at a wedding that might be a split second glance between a bride and her father, a joke shared between the groom and his best man, a child’s delight at receiving a gift. Tiny details that help to tell the story of your day. Your wedding day starts as soon as you wake up, and goes on to well into the night and I will be there for as much of that day as you want. In the evening of my weddings, I like to get creative with the lighting and take some high impact images. These are what I call the 'wow’ shots, allowing me to offer my clients something unique. Though based in Yorkshire, I shoot weddings all over the UK and destination weddings further afield. Often my clients have moved away from Yorkshire and are returning home to get married. In many cases it is the start of a working relationship that sees me photographing all the significant moments of their family lives. But that’s enough chat from me, please browse the site. Hopefully, my images will speak for themselves.

Pixies in the Cellar, aka Pete & Sara, so where to start? Best place I guess would be the cellar, hence the name – it's where they work their Pixie magic once the wedding day is over. With Manchester as their home turf, these guys shoot weddings across the whole of the UK, to much critical acclaim. With a style described as unique, friendly, stunning, spectacular, artistic, creative, experimental and photographic ninjas to boot - its no wonder that they get snapped up quickly. For a snapshot of what you can expect from Pixies in the Cellar check out their short video of 2015 - https://vimeo.com/140409088

Based in the South of England, I travel throughout the UK and abroad. I aim to capture those moments and intimacy that make up a wedding in a unique style special to the couple. I'm a highly skilled photo editor and always find myself fulfilling special requests from couples who want that little something extra. Wedding photography is a journey for me and I love every minute of my travels. The way I shoot on the day is supportive, gentle and understanding. I like the kooky and the fun side of people. The photos I take will reach out and grab you, some will make you double take and others you'll have no idea how I took them. I also prefer to stay late at weddings because if I'm going to record a day then I'd prefer to do it properly. Plus all sort of crazy stuff happen in the evening!

Jamie Bott

I have been photographing weddings full time since 2007 but shot my first one in 2002. In this time I have photographed well over 200 weddings all over the UK and abroad. In 2013 I was extremely honoured to discover that I had won Wedding Photographer Select's international wedding photographer of the year award as well as their award for the Best Wedding Image of the Year. This was followed up in 2014 when Fearless Photographers ranked me as their Best UK Wedding Photographer and Best English Wedding Photographer over a period of 18 months which I still find a little bit mind blowing! I'd describe myself as a creative documentary wedding photographer who is passionate about turning my clients most cherished memories into unique timeless artworks for them to treasure forever. Ultimately I love telling stories by documenting those special moments that define relationships and evoke emotion. I try to do this in the most dynamic and visually interesting way that I can. I genuinely feel very fortunate to be in a job that feeds me creatively and makes other people very happy. There can't be many jobs where you relish receiving an email from your clients telling you that your work has reduced them to tears!

Elton Mogg

Growing up I tended to carry a football, a tennis racket and a camera. Dreams of professional sports stardom soon evaporated but the camera always remained. I went on to study Photography and Film Making at College and progressed to have a career in TV & Video Production. I believe it is this background in storytelling that helped me develop my own unique style of wedding photography. Over the last decade I have photographed the varied special moments throughout the day that build to create the whole story of the wedding. With cinematic influences my style has a natural feel but with more than a nod to the glamour of film. I have shot weddings throughout the UK and Europe and won various International Wedding Photography awards. I love spending my time capturing a unique day in the lives of my clients and then providing them with a beautiful way to access those memories all over again.

I'm a full-time, award-winning pro photographer and I witness some pretty cool moments every weekend. I'm a fan of people, colourful sunsets, big skies, the beauty of nature, the nature of beauty, football, high adventure, family moments, good friends, dynamic architecture, epic histories, my cool children, inspiring autobiographies…I could go on (I probably already have!). Travelling was / is also a passion of mine and in a previous life I joined the Royal Navy and served for 12 years as a photographer across the globe in settings as diverse as Singapore to Sierra Leone. I did indeed 'see the world' and loved the camaraderie and excitement but decided follow my dream and swap dodging bullets for bouquets a number of years ago. If my style of imagery was to have a few labels attached to it I'll go for anti-cheese, fresh and super-relaxed. Non-traditional labels but then I'm not a traditional style photographer. I push myself hard to create something unique at every wedding and hopefully you'll see a whole lot of this in the blog and the galleries on my website.

David Wilkins

I'm David Wilkins and together, with my wife, I work as Alchemy Photography. I'm one quarter Cornish and I live in the beautiful county of Cornwall with my wife, Christine, and our two daughters. It is an ideal place to combine my twin passions for Landscape and Wedding photography. My Photography Studio is a log cabin in my garden. My background is in Medicinal Chemistry research, probably not every wedding photographer's starting career but you do need to be very creative when designing drug molecules. When I moved down to Cornwall in 2001 I spent much of my time on the coastal path photographing the breathtaking Cornish Landscape. In 2010 I left my chemistry career to become a full time professional photographer. I did my first wedding in 2011 and, by wedding No 6, I was hooked it was the best feeling ever to capture a wedding and produce images that mean so much to the Bride & Groom. Last year I did my 200th wedding, I'm delighted that it's grown so fast. I love looking at other wedding photographers' work and among the photographers that I admire and follow are Jerry Ghionis for the way he uses light, and Alex Beckett and Ken Lam for the wonderful compositions they produce, though there are many others from whom I have drawn inspiration. One of the proudest moments of my career was when we spent 4 days on St Martin's Island on the Isles of Scilly, capturing the wedding of Ruth and Warren. They live on the Island and invited the whole population to the wedding (about 100 people!) It was just the most amazing time.

Martin Hill

I was born in North Devon in a decade where free love was a new concept and United were the 1st English team to win the European cup. As a kid I loved all things sport in fact any sport that kept me out of the classroom, ironic that I met and married a school teacher. I spent the early part of my working life serving with the Royal Marines in various spots around the globe. On leaving the services, life was a scary place! I put my supervisory and organisational skills to good use by joining the NHS as a manager. However, at the same time I began to develop my passion for photography and wanted to be the go to Photographer. Finally I took the ultimate plunge and started shooting wedding photography, converting a much-loved hobby into a career. During my now 10 year career I've had the privilege to work alongside some of the best photographers in the world and don't regret a single day. With all my life experiences I guess I'm a pretty chilled out individual, who without wanting to gloat, has the best job in the world.

Jeff Sham

Hello, I am Jeff, a full-time wedding photographer based in Surrey. I am fully qualified with the Guild of Wedding Photographers, I am certified with The Photographer Academy and I have won multiple prestigious national awards for my wedding photography. From an early age, I had a very strong interest in photography and as a young boy I always used my parents' 110 film format camera, taking photographs of everyone and everything. I grew up using 35mm film cameras and by the time I graduated from the University of Leicester, I was starting to embrace the modern age of photography, turning to digital DSLRs. Before establishing my wedding photography career, I was employed in the IT sector for over a decade, and since establishing my own business, I've never looked back, and I now absolutely love what I do. I have a continually growing list of delighted couples and many many new friends!

I love to photograph weddings that are unique and quirky and my couples book me for my creativity as well as my photojournalism. I trained in digital arts and photography and moved to a career in teaching before becoming a full time photographer. My passion lies in capturing moments and telling the story of the wedding day through photographing real and un-posed situations. I also love to be creative, using the environment as well as my own lighting to create different and artistic imagery for my couples. I love to meet new people and visit new places. What keeps me going is the fact that each wedding is different and presents one off opportunities to capture something special.

Yvonne Lishman

I started out in medical photography but I've been photographing off beat weddings up and down the UK since setting up in business in 2006. Swapping blood and gore for smiling faces at awesome weddings was really not a contest. Last year I was voted one of the 100 Best Wedding Photographers in the World and the year before one of the UKs Top Ten Quirky and Creative Wedding Photographers. How epic, and all for doing a job I love. I love the way your all planning your weddings these days. Gone is custom and formality and, for someone often described as unconventional and a tad eccentric, photographing your take on getting hitched is a blast. I find tradition too restrictive I like to be creative and spontaneous and have fun. Who wants to stand in fake poses or to have their guests hang around for hours waiting to be photographed in groups? Like happy memories images should still make you smile in years to come. I seem to find so much to laugh about for me, as Charlie Chaplin said, 'A day without laughter is a day wasted.' I'm inspired by what is going on around me at the time rather than having set ideas about how I want things to look. What's going on is what's real, and how it was. I'm pretty sure it shows up in my imagery, as the couples who book me say they love the laid back, fun and unusual way I see things. But it's because that's how they see things too, consciously or not. We click because like attracts like.

I always find it a bit difficult writing about me as I'm usually the one asking you all the questions, but hello, I'm Lee and I'm a wedding photographer from Cambridge. I studied photography at college but drifted away from it until 4 years ago when I went along to help another photographer shoot a wedding. I was then hooked and the rest is history! So you won't be surprised to hear that I love weddings. I love everything about them. Everyone's happy and in high sprits which creates the most magical atmosphere. Every wedding is unique, and it's always great to see the couples personalities shine through on the day. It's so wonderful to be able to capture peoples genuine emotions and reactions that they'll look back on for many years to come. For me it's all about the connection of two people that are in love. So there you have it that's basically why I do what I do.

Hello, I'm Hannah from Alma Photography. I hope you like my picture of a groom with a jaunty top hat and his amused bride. I chose it because it's a good example of what I do; tell stories through photos with a bit of humour. This is sometimes called documentary or narrative photography. When I'm shooting a wedding, I try to be unobtrusive and capture all those little glances, and how gorgeous you look and the joy of your guests. It's a style I learnt when I was studying photography at Uni and it underpins my work whatever I'm photographing. I love it when clients say "the photos exceeded what we hoped for and we hardly knew you were there!". I'm based in Kent and cover weddings all over the UK. I have two small children and frizzy hair, both require daily taming!

In 1998, I discovered photography, which was my fate, I bought my first SLR for 100 quid, And really loved what it did. Now I own several D.S.L.R's Which cost the same as a couple of cars, They've taken me far and wide, Much further than a four wheel drive. Within my family is a photographic history, I'm also the proud owner of a Photographic Arts degree, My granddad photographed people on the beach, And my other granddad photographed for Austin motors at their peak. I love to tell stories with pictures, And fill my calendar up with wedding fixtures, I'm silly yet when needed can be serious, Capturing the perfect picture, can make me feel delirious. To add skills to my credit, I should tell you that I edit, To make sure you're totally happy After I've gone snappy snappy I've lived in the Devon Country and the London City, Which can both be very pretty I don't know which I prefer, I love exploring, and seeing new places out there. I've taken pictures for the press Which gave me feelings of triumph and success As it's all very competitive But never ever repetitive I've been published in newspapers and magazines Now, Reveal, Heat, Hello, The Daily Mail, and The Independent are just a few of these, I very much hope to publish more, Seeing my images in print, feels like a score. I've spent time in the studio, in my earlier years, Learning from others, capturing laughter and tears, It's here that I first developed skills I did hone, So now I can produce pictures all of my own. I hope you like my work, please get in touch, I'll do my best to create something you love, very very much.

I specialise in portraiture. I started out as a portrait artist and have a background in fine art so I am much more than another 'man-with-a-camera'. Everyone's wedding is different so it is impossible to quote one or two packages as I would like you to have the best value I can give you. I can offer a full day's coverage from Bridal preparations to the last dance and everything in between. My wife and I will shoot the wedding together and I offer a complimentary pre-wedding shoot as part of the meeting to discuss times/details and requirements of the big day. All photos will then be professionally edited and processed and delivered to you on a DVD or USB Flashdrive for you to use and share as you wish. Photos will also be uploaded to an online gallery should your guests wish to buy from there. I can also print professional quality photos myself to a higher standard than any online service as I have complete control over the process. Albums are also available which I will meticulously layout and have supplied by Graphistudio. I pride myself on my friendly and professional service. You will not regret booking me.
