Adios To Aberdeen And Sayonara To Sheffield

Categories: News

Adios, adieu, ciao, however you say it, we're saying goodbye to eight destinations on the HenHeaven site. It saddens us to step away from these destinations, however following some heavy research and customer feedback, there simply hasn't been the demand in these areas. We will instead be replacing these with other locations all over Europe, while also focusing our efforts on ensuring your hen party is the greatest ever. Below are the eight removed locations which you will no longer be able to book from this week.

A popular destination for adventure based weekends, Aberdeen just seemed to be losing out to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. We therefore recommend heading over to one of these cities for your hen do, where all of the same activities are listed.

As with our Stag sister site, Norwich has been a casualty of our geographical purge, as there were a distinct lack of activities we could offer our hens and we have always prided ourselves on offering the best service possible. Who knows, maybe it will be back in the future, but for now we recommend looking at Cambridge as the closest alternative.

If you're a Portsmouth resident hoping to keep your party relatively close to home then you're in luck. While we're removing this destination, we do however still offer many close-by options, such as Brighton, Bournemouth, Oxford or Southampton. In fact, a Brighton hen party has been the biggest seller this year so far.

This is a destination we never sold to stag groups, only proving popular for female groups, however the demand has significantly decreased over the past 4 years, going from one of our top sellers to virtually nothing. This has largely been affected by hen groups zest to travel further afar.

For Welsh residents, you now have two options to pick from if you'd like to stay in Wales. You could head to the adventure packed Snowdonia or you could head to the capital, Cardiff. Alternatively there are a few options in England which aren't too far away, however if you're going to travel further away, you might as well look abroad!

Our closest destinations you could consider are Bristol, Bath or Newquay. Exeter had some unique activities, such as the perfume creation class, however the demand simply wasn't there, so sadly we say goodbye to this picturesque village.

Who doesn't love a bit of Yorkshire? With two universities quite closely based, we always believed Sheffield would be a popular option for our hens, however they never came clucking. We would therefore recommend any locals to consider a hen party in Leeds, York or Newcastle.

Our only destination outside of the UK to be removed from the site, we do however offer many alternative options in Spain, from the lower cost party lifestyle of Benidorm to the upmarket boujou Barcelona.

Keep your eyes on our site for new areas being launched throughout 2016, we can't reveal anything yet but we have plenty of exciting things to come!
