Five amazing ways to celebrate Dublin style!
Categories: Hen Party Advice
With St Patrick’s Day just around the corner, here at Hen Heaven we’ve been thinking of our favourite ways to celebrate Dublin style! The Irish sure know how to throw a brilliant bash, so we’ve got five super ideas for you whether your idea of a good knees up involves cocktails and dancing or a more reserved way to toast the big day. Here’s our pick of some of our favourite Dublin hen party ideas…
Irish dance party
There’s no point visiting Dublin if you don’t throw yourself in to the celebrations, so to really party Irish style, we love an Irish dance party. If you’ve got some real energy to burn and want to get in the thick of the atmosphere, this is the activity for you. The two hour party includes live music performances and the chance to perfect some classic steps. Don’t worry though, you won’t need the luck of the Irish on your side to master the moves-this class is all about the banter, so if you have two left feet there’s still room to join the party!
Afternoon tea with champagne in temple bar
It might not be everyone’s idea of a party, but it’s a world away from raucous bar hopping, so if you want to soak up Dublin’s vibrant atmosphere without heading for the bright lights of the clubs and pubs we recommend a luxe afternoon tea. After all, bar hopping in heels isn’t for everyone!
Set in the heart of Dublin’s famous temple bar (a must-visit for anyone heading to the Irish city) our tasty afternoon tea includes some delectable sweet and savoury treats for you and the girls to feast on-think mini macaroons and tasty tortillas for a sample of the yummy-ness on offer! Obviously civilised and classy doesn’t mean dull, so you’ll also be given some bubbles to toast your celebrations! Cheers!
Pedi bus pub crawl
The ultimate way to enjoy a Dublin weekend for party girls, the fun pedi bus is a unique and hilarious way to move around the city-and of course, stop at plenty of pubs and bars en route for refreshment! Priorities, right? The bus has a sound system and ponchos so the weather can’t even dampen your spirits! At the end of the tour you and your besties can finish the party in style in one of Dublin’s top clubs! It certainly beats stumbling around in your stilettos right?
Treasure hunt city explorer
Fancy seeing the sights and spending the day exploring? We don’t blame you-there’s so much to see and do in Dublin, it’d be totally rude not to! The hunt is run by a mobile app and includes fun facts about some of the city’s most popular, famous and sought after areas, and you can get some friendly competition going by splitting in to teams and keeping an eye on the app’s scoreboard.
Don’t forget to keep an eye out for some places you’d like to visit on your night out, and there’s also a pub version for hens wanting an excuse to stop for a liquid lunch!
This is a classic hen activity, but in Dublin it comes with a twist. Our interactive cocktail making class takes place at a hotel bar in the city’s Temple Bar area, meaning if you’re planning a visit to this part of the city (and you absolutely should!) you’ll have a little treat in store after all that walking!
The session gives you and the girls the chance to make two cocktails and you’ll get a shot each to get things started as you mean to go on! Of course, all that shaking and mixing works up an appetite, so you can also opt to add some canapes and party food to indulge in throughout the session-mmm.
