Hen Party Playlists #7: Beth G

Categories: Music

There are a number of things guaranteed to happen on a Friday; going for ‘one or two’ drinks after work and still sitting in the pub 4 hours later, your brain switching to weekend mode before you’ve even had lunch, and on some Fridays you will of course be treated to a Hen Party Playlist on this here blog!

This week is one such week where all three of those things could happen, we’re giving you the playlist to soundtrack your weekend, the rest is up to you!

Today we introduce Beth G (we have about 17 Beths in our company, so we need to distinguish them by their initials you see), who is part of our amazing and insanely hard working Customer Care and Admin team. Beth has given us a choice selection for her turn on the Hen Party Playlist blog, let’s take a look:

Route 94 - My Love - The UK's current Number One! For me there is only one word that can be used to describe this tune; banger.

Gorgon City - Ready for your Love - A solid tune this one, if you think those vocals are amazing wait until those synths drop, I can't actually get enough of this one. Definitely one to stick on repeat for me.

Rudimental - Waiting all Night - It's been almost a year since this one was released as a single and I'm still not bored of it. Amazing production, and a great video as well. Worth seeking out and watching.

Wilkinson - Afterglow - Another one that takes me back to last summer, bit of a 4am vibe to this one for me but equally good for listening at any time and in any situation.

Clean Bandit - Rather Be - Great song with an incredibly catchy chorus, those piano chords! One you'll find yourself singing without even realising it, and a great one to get yourself in a party mood.

Foxes - Let it go for Tonight - The choruses on this one sound massive. You might have heard Foxes on Zedd's single 'Clarity', which is where I first hear her. Her own material is equally as good, not a bad voice at all!

Bastille - Pompeii - This tune was everywhere last year, and it's pretty darn catchy so it's easy to see why it proved so popular. You try not singing along to this one if you hear it in a club.

Le Youth - Dance With Me - I'm really enjoying all of the tunes that are around at the moment with this Deep House vibe, and this one is no exception. It samples TLC's 'No Scrubs' and the writing credits for the song list no less than TWENTY different writers!

Alesso - If I Lose Myself - Euphoric synths, clean vocals, a weighty bass kick when it drops, what is not to love about this one? Try not to dance too hard when you hear this at 2am.

Avicii - I Could be the One - Avicii seems to have developed a knack of producing incredible sounding tracks and working with good singers to create stone cold killer singles. 'Levels' opened the door for him in 2011 and he hasn't looked back. Another one that'll have you dancing like you just don't care when you hear it in a packed club.

Beth assures me that she’ll be listening to this playlist this weekend when she’s getting ready to enjoy a night out, so you should do the same thing! Remember you can also view the other playlists in the series here.
