Ok ok, I know that it has been aaaaaaages since the last hen party playlist but I’m finally bringing them back this week with a selection of stone cold tunes from one of our event planners; Jodie.
I have to apologise to Jodie because she actually sent me this playlist months ago, but I just didn’t have the time to get it up on the Hen Heaven blog, sorry Jodie! She picked ten of her favourites, which is how we do it with our playlist articles, so let’s not waste any more time and jump right into it.
Usher – YEAH: YEEEEEEEEEAAAAHHHHH! I like this song just for Lil’ Jon, it’s a good ‘un.
TLC - No Scrubs: Proper classic, and changed the way men picked up women and how women let men chat them up forever (probably).
Avicii - Don’t Wake Me Up: If you haven’t heard this song then you have clearly been living under a rock for all of 2013. Insanely popular and always on heavy radio rotation, Avicii without a doubt nailed it last year.
Rudimental - Waiting All Night: This was one of my tunes of summer 2013 so I’m pleased to see it pop up again in Jodie’s playlist. I love it, production is solid and the video is awesome too.
Wamdue Project - King of my Castle: Another oldie here, I remember listening to this and getting ready to go out in my home town at the young age of 16. Needless to say those evenings always ended up with getting turned away from the only club in town, followed by a long, sad walk home. Ahhhhh, memories.
MC Hammer - You Can’t Touch this: Another classic, and one that to this day still can’t be touched (see what I did there?)
Rihanna feat. Kanye West – Diamonds: Some might even call this song an anthem, and they’re probably right. This is another biggie that you have heard before unless you’ve been under the same rock that the people who haven’t heard that Avicii tune have been hiding.
Spice Girls - Say You’ll Be There: Embarrassing fact, I once went to see the Spice Girls live at Wembley Arena, the first time round, none of this reunion garbage. I secretly enjoyed it.
Florence + The Machine - You’ve Got The Love: The first ‘Florence…’ album was amazing, and this to me is one of the best cover versions of any song that I have ever heard. It is actually amazing.
Sweet Female Attitude – Flowers: Here’s another one that reminds me of my ‘yout’, and still kills it if you ask me.
