Today we look at part four of our Hen Heaven infographic, as we continue to lay bare the bones of the hen weekend. We're discovering just how much women are spending on a hen weekend and their hen party packages, and how their habits have changed since 2008.
As you'll see from the image below, the average spend per head (average of what each person pays) for hen weekends saw a slight decline between 2008 and 2010. However, since 2011 this figure has risen each year, with next year's bookings already showing us that the spend has increased again!
We'll put this down to the fact that hen weekends are becoming yet more and more exciting, interesting and dare we say it, essential! That's right, while once viewed as a rubbish night out in your local town on a wet and windy March weekend has transformed into the be all and end all of ladies parties!
Of these hen weekends, 94% were taken care of by the chief bridesmaid herself. It's also worth noting that 100% of the women surveyed took photos on the hen weekend they attended.
It's great to see that we're still spending on hen weekends even if the economy isn't at its best. In fact, we may even see the hen weekend begin to single handedly turn the economy round if these figures continue next year!
